FISW Steuerungstechnik GmbH was founded on 25.7.1997 as a wholly owned subsidiary of FISW Forschungs- und Ingenieurgesellschaft für Steuerungstechnik GmbH, Stuttgart. Since 1.8.1997, FISW GmbH has exclusively carried out research projects, training etc. within the scope of the legal possibilities for a non-profit GmbH. Since then, FISW Steuerungstechnik GmbH has been responsible for contract research within the framework of industrial orders and is managed as an independent unit.

Since its foundation, FISW Steuerungstechnik GmbH has been carrying out industrial projects in the fields of open and closed loop control, (realtime) communication, software and machine technology. There is a cooperation agreement with the Institute for Control Technology at the University of Stuttgart. This allows optimal access to current and innovative research results in all areas of automation technology.
